Weekend Workshop 20/21 May 2017

LISPA is very happy to announce a Weekend Workshop in Berlin for 20th & 21st May 2017.  

Visit the LISPA studio, meet staff, and take part in three practical workshops to explore the work of the school for yourself! All workshops are taught in English.

Saturday 20th May 2017

10.00-13.00 The Poetic Body

This 3-hour workshop introduces participants to one of the most important cornerstones of our pedagogy, the Neutral Mask. We will explore concepts such as mythic space, embodiment and liminality and their relationship to the process of devising original work. The workshop also gives an initial insight into the pedagogy of our full-time program in Devised Theatre and Performance (DTAP).

15.00-18.00 Ensemble Storytelling

This 3-hour workshop offers participants an introduction into the art of ensemble storytelling. Taking already-existing stories as a point of departure, the group will be introduced into challenges and chances of how to use the strengths of an entire group in order to create original work together. This workshop also gives initial insights into the pedagogy of our full-time program in Advanced Devising Practice (ADP).

Sunday 21st May 2017

10.00-17.00 Into the Shadow

This workshop gives participants an insight into ways how to combine a more personal process with the process of devising original work. Through painting, moving and active imagination we make contact with creative resources we often don't give ourselves permission to use, and give them space to breathe and to become visible. This workshop also gives initial insights into our modular program in Integral Movement and Performance Practice (IMPP).

Fees:

Full weekend pass (both days booked together) :130 euro

(Saturday/Sunday only) : 75 euro per day
