DIEGO BAGAGAL (Alumni - Brazil)

Diego Bagagal has been chosen as the new director of ‘Oficinï¿½o’ of Galpï¿½o Cine Horto in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, attracting the attention of the media. Diego’s project was selected among eight other applications from different States in Brazil.ï¿½ Diego, at 26, has become the youngest director to assume the coordination of a Galpï¿½o project in thirteen seasons of ‘Oficinï¿½o’.

The project, ‘Vidas Paralelas’, is a continuation of studies about Pop and Kitsch references in western culture initiated at LISPA for Bagagal's final individual show: ‘The Witch and The Frog (POP VERSION)’.ï¿½ Bagagal will select 15 professional actors from all over Brazil to create, over 8 months, a show exploring the relationship between idol and fan in Pop Culture. Among his team will be Chico Pelï¿½cio and Eduardo Moreira, founders of Grupo Galpï¿½o in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.ï¿½ ‘Vidas Paralelas’ will debut in November 2010.
