KEIRA MCDONALD (Alumni - USA)

Keira is currently on the faculty of Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.  She teaches Movement for Actors and Solo Performance.  She directs ensemble created works and teaches workshops for the Orignal Works discipline.  Recently, they had their second annual MOVE-A-THON where the students go head-to-head and compete/celebrate with each other by demonstrating Lecoq's 20 movements and Meyerhold's Etudes!

She is the founder and artistic director of SPF: Solo Performance Festival, which currently wrapped its third season at Theatre Off Jackson in Seattle, WA.

She continues to teach young actors at Seattle Children's Theatre in Seattle and Harrison School for the Performing Arts in Lakeland, Florida.

In summer 2009 she toured three separate shows to four festivals:

  • The Bridesmaid at The Orlando Fringe Festival (May 2009) and The Minnesota Fringe Festival (July/August 2009)
  • Cherry Cherry Lemon at The Minnesota Fringe Festival and The Edmonton International Fringe Festival (July/August 2009)
  • XXXplicit at The Victoria Fringe Festival in Victoria, B.C. (September 2009)
