Kelley Soul
Managing Director
Kelley has worked professionally as an actor, director, stage manager and arts administrator, and is responsible for the oversight of LISPA’s student admissions and administrative operations.
She spent several years with The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, working as an arts manager, event planner, fundraiser, and arts-education lobbyist for the Office of Public Affairs. Whilst at the DCPA, she developed the Future Artists’ Forum, a monthly career-education workshop for young people interested in careers the arts. She also assisted several small theatre companies as a business mentor and board member.
Kelley received her MFA in Actor-Created Physical Theatre from Naropa University in 2004, and her Pedagogical Certificate from LISPA in July 2005. She also holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado (1994).
As a performer, she is a core company member of the award-winning US-based theatre collective LIDA Project, with whom she has devised and performed several original works. Kelley has also performed with Tir Ná nÓg an Irish Theatre, Hunger Artists and Whole Can 'O' Whup Ass (USA) and at the Brockley Jack Theatre in London. Her latest creative project is her daughter Josie, born in 2008.
Kelley teaches company development in the Advanced Course at LISPA.
Melissa Coles
Senior Administrator
Melissa completed a BA (Hons) in Music and Arts Administration at Colchester Institute and plays piano and clarinet. Before joining the LISPA administrative team in 2007, she worked for Social Care Charity ADEPTA, ran auditions for Youth Music Theatre: UK, and completed a work placement at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as working for an international ferry company for 6 years. Since joining LISPA she has become the students' first point of contact for all their administrative needs.
Patrick Soul
Finance Manager
Patrick graduated from Cambridge University in 1991, following this with PGCE training. He founded and ran a music school in Bristol before joining the LISPA team in January 2005.
Patrick holds an MMus in Jazz Performance from the the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and is a keen jazz musician and composer. With additional extensive experience in database programming and administration, Patrick deals with the finances of the organisation, including students' tuition fees and payment plans. He also teaches Ensemble Singing in both the Initiation and Advanced Course.
